Staying in Northern Italy Empty
MessaggioTitolo: Staying in Northern Italy   Staying in Northern Italy EmptyDom Ago 05, 2012 8:16 pm

Ciao, I also posted this in Presentations.
I apologize, my Italian is not very good yet.

I am staying in Bergamo for business for 2-3 months. I am from the US, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am an intermediate powerlifter looking to continue my training while in Italy, but have been having trouble finding a palestra for lifting. All I can find nearby is pilates and aerobics. I will try some of the palestras in person, but does anyone know of a place in Bergamo I could powerlift? Or nearby?

Thanks, much appreciated!

@ PrisonBreak: Thank you, kind sir! That is some very valuable information. Some in Milan are nearby, I should have a car to use this weekend, and from now on, so I'd be able to drive. And your English is fine!

@ UngePL: Hi, I do not work for Dalmine. I found a CUS Dalmine palestra at the university via G. Verdi, 56, but there is no squat rack or power cages. The closest I saw was a smith machine.

Why do you ask if I work for Dalmine? Very Happy I work for an Engineering Deign company, D&P SRL.

Hi!

I ask you that because I know that Dalmine (located in the Bergamo area) is very active in the US.

I'm sure that you will find a gym where to powerlift, but you have to consider that in Italy on August almost all the gym are closed for holyday.
I will searching and if I have news I'll post them here!

some years ago there was a gym with a squat rack in dalmine at the cross of viale Locatelli with the road to the highway, but i think it's out of business (there's a latino bar now) or maybe changed location but i don't know where.
I live near bergamo but i don't know if there is some good gym. i train at home and go sometimes near milano to train with the team.
good luck for your search
